This afternoon the kids started their valentines. This evening "we" might just give in and finish them. Gage is giving *mad about you* valentines by rolling two sheets of madlibs in glitter paper & tying them up with colorful craft floss and a hand punched, hand written heart note. Zuzu is working on glitter paper covered matchboxes embellished with all things shiny and filled with yet to be purchased candy. We made a huge mess and we loved every minute of it. Finished product photos not yet available!
For more valentine ideas see my article beginning on page 22 in the Spring issue of Modern Handmade Child or checkout this homemade heart shaped crayon tutorial on my zuzu girl handmade blog.

I've found the key is starting 2 weeks in advance. No last minute tears about finishing them then!
