Last night just before bed Gage said something like this...
I don't really think there could be an Easter Bunny.
I mean, think about it.
I mean, think about it.
One bunny?
Delivering treats to every house all over the world in one night?
It's impossible.
How could he do that?
I don't believe it.
I wanted to say something like this...
But what about Santa Claus? He can do it!
But I didn't dare.
Instead, I responded with something like this...
But wouldn't it be super cool if you did believe he could do it?
Crickets.
So we went to bed.
This morning the kids woke to fabulous Easter baskets with their favorite toys and a few token treats of sugar. Gage was on top of the world with his new Pokemon cards. He ran over to me and gave me the biggest hug shouting,"Thank you so much, Mommy! This is the best Easter basket ever!"
I just hugged him back.
So, quite possibly. Gage has debunked the Easter Bunny. Santa Claus will probably come next. But he still likes to play with bubbles. And I'm super cool with that...
